Hi Friends… Hope you had a fantastic weekend. I finally took my Valentine's Day stuff down and realized I don't have anything to decorate for St. Patrick's Day. BUT I did have some pretty green glass bottles…
So, here's another kitchen sink craft. Grab anything green that you have in your recycling bin and craft supplies. We're going to make some "shamrock" vases and some green flowers for St. Pat's Day.
Supplies: Armour Etch, contact paper, shamrock and other punches, green glass bottles (mine were mineral water bottles). In the meantime, grab some white flowers and green food coloring.
Punch the shapes out of the contact paper. It's easier to work on the "paper" side as opposed to the "contact" side.
Mess around with the shapes to see what you like.
Remember those white flowers?
Dissolve some green food coloring in water and let your flowers soak it up overnight.
Pretty cool huh?
Back to the vases. Apply the contact paper and…
Push out air pockets as much as possible.
Generously apply the Armour Etch.
Wait 5 minutes and rinse the Armour Etch off with water.
Here's how the looked.
Then the fun part… embellish away!
Old scrabble tiles were distressed with ink and glued on canvas (that was spritzed with Tattered Angels Mist).
Side note– I thought this was cute.
Burlap ribbon and a star punched out of cereal box cardboard was painted and glittered. The key was from the free Pottery Barn gift wrap over the holidays.
A flower made out of muslin with a marble for the center.
A vintage pin finds a new use.
Linking on up.

Ok, I love the green tulips. Here is a “stupid man question.” 1) You let the flowers soak in the green food coloring over night. 2) You take out and let them drain.
Ok, the dumb questions.
1) Will the little squirty bottle food coloring work?
2) Will they stay green?
3) Can I wrap the green tulips in the cellophane like stuff florists use and transport them for a few hours?
4) I am going to see my mom in the nursing home.
I just love the idea of green tulips.
Thank you!
