When we moved in to our "new" home two years ago, I was excited for many reasons.
One big one– I got a room to use as a studio as well as place to store all my art stuff. It was a little bit of a decorating dilemna however… There was one red wall, one navy blue wall and two white walls. Patriotic(!) but not that easy to "work" with.
It has taken me this long to repaint the room and hang some of my "treasures" up.

After:
I picked up this "Girl in Red" image a few years ago at The Farm Chicks in Spokane.
Her winsome look makes me smile.
The three butterfly prints came from a clearance sale when one of my favorite local shops went out of business.
And le tricycle and le telephone came from Pottery Barn Kids, the day after Christmas circa 2004-ish. They used to have HUGE markdowns that day… I think these were $1.99 apiece. And the corkboard is a frame from Ikea that I backed in corkboard.
There's still much more to do, but it's a start! Have a happy week, friends.
XO
