Vintage YoT: You Are My World Globe

In anticipation of Valentine's Day… here's one of my all time favorite projects: The "You Are My World" globe.

Supplies: Globe (thrift store),Krylon chalkboard paint and chalk ink pen (Michael's). I also used a screwdriver and some masking tape.

Seperate the globe and the stand.

Cover the metal part with masking tape to protect it.

When applying spray paint, use sweeping motions about 10-12 inches from the surface, and leave plenty of drying time between coats.

The spray paint leaves a nice glossy finish.

After the paint dries, find the "flattest" part of the globe to write on.

Write "You are my world" and randomly draw hearts all over.

This is so cute. I’m so glad I stumbled onto your blog. Did you come up with the idea on your own?
