As the holidays roll around, we all have those special people on our lives– neighbors, teachers, and friends– that we want to give something special to this time of the year. I have teamed up with twenty-nine other bloggers to give you THE GIFT GUIDE for homemade gifts!

Thirty Handmade Christmas Gift Ideas

I’m going to share an easy peasy Mint Chocolate Chip Cookie Mix Gift with you and then you should check out all the other amazing ideas.

Mint Chocolate Chip Cookies

These festive treats are a cinch to make. Your neighbors will love getting the mix.

Here’s the recipe:

Ingredients: 1 pouch (1 lb 1.5 oz) Betty Crocker® sugar cookie mix, 1/2 cup butter or margarine, softened, 1/4 to 1/2 teaspoon mint extract, 6 to 8 drops green food color, 1 egg, 1 cup mint baking chips, 1 cup semisweet chocolate chunks

Mint Chocolate Chip Cookies

1. Heat oven to 350°F. In large bowl, stir cookie mix, butter, extract, food color and egg until soft dough forms.

2. Stir in mint baking chips and chocolate chunks.

3. Using small cookie scoop or teaspoon, drop dough 2 inches apart on ungreased cookie sheet.

4. Bake 8 to 10 minutes or until set. Cool 3 minutes; remove from cookie sheet to wire rack. Serve warm or cool completely. Store tightly covered at room temperature.

Mint Chocolate Chip Cookie Mix Directions

To make the gift, add the cookie mix to a large Mason Jar. Layer mint and chocolate chips on tip. If desired, add a circle of fabric to the top, and a tag.

Leave neighbors a note instructing them to add a 1/2 cup butter or margarine, softened, 1/4 to 1/2 teaspoon mint extract, 6 to 8 drops green food color and bake at 350 for 8-10 minutes.
