Cheerful Catchall

Brighten up a plain basket and turn it into a Cheerful Catchall

The birds are chirping, the sun is out and it’s time to start thinking about spring. Brighten up your front step with a colorful catchall. It’s a smart way to corral those things you’d rather not have hanging the doorstep (like sports gear, umbrellas etc).

Brighten up a plain basket and turn it into a Cheerful Catchall

Supplies: a basket, masking tape, a ruler and acrylic paint. All supplies from Ben Franklin Crafts and Frames in Redmond.

Directions

1. Measure five inches in from the bottom of the basket, a stick masking tape there lengthwise.

2. Continue measuring and sticking tape around the basket.

3. Paint area and let it dry. It may take two or three coats.

4. Put it on outside entryway and stow that stuff you don’t want to see.
