Hi There! I posted more about last weekend's Petite Retreat over at Vintage Indie. Not only was it a visual feast but I also got to meet some lovely people. Like darling Ilsa, shown here with two of her girls. Elise from Elise Marie Photos took the picture. As soon as I met Ilsa I could tell we had a lot in common. In fact, I ran into her about three more times that afternoon as we hit a few local stores. Turns out Ilsa knows me from my blog. And she has a blog too! It's called This Old… Read More

My picks this week are all about terrific furniture transformations. Move over Pottery Barn– Candace is "In the House" and she's making it gorgeous. This Pottery Barn inspired table is simply amazing! Check out this shelf made out of a gutter (!) from Pickles and Paper. Fun and functional. You could fit a lot of stuff on that cheery shelf. Behind the Blog: Fireflies and Jellybeans
Hi Friends! I am thrilled about today's Behind the Blog subject. She is one of the sweethearts of the Blog World. This gal is creative, fun, and full of thrifty crafting ideas– who else would have thought of using cardboard for homemade fabric bolts? Fawnda from Fireflies and Jellybeans of course! I had A LOT to ask Miss Fawnda so let's dive in. Fawnda I have to ask you about your beautiful name. Is there a story behind it? My mom made it up. She liked the name "Fawn" but wanted to make it longer so that "Fawn" would be… Read More

Rit Dye Halloween Tags
There's only one thing "scary" about this Halloween craft… You could accidentally dye your hands tangerine! Happily that would be perfect for the holiday. This is a really easy craft and it's also a fantastic stash buster. Supplies: Rit Dye in Tangerine, Tags (mine are from Office Max), Twine (mine is from The Twinery), and random embellishments– rubber stamps, buttons, ink, ribbon. Anything you are inspired to use. Also grab something to mix the dye in, some old salad tongs and a cookie sheet lined with paper towels. If you happen to have some old rubber gloves– they are… Read More
Weekend Report
Hi Friends! How's your weekend going? Busy in a good way? Me too. Today I'm going to a class on soldering with my cute friend Amy S. Do you remember the movie Flashdance? BEST movie ever. Well, the dancing was good. The main character Alex was a Welder by Day, Dancer by Night. Here's what I'm envisioning for class this morning: I'm cracking myself up. As my father-in-law Arnie used to say, "Only a fool laughs at their own jokes." Guilty! Yesterday, my pal Rebecca and I want to "Petite Retreat" on Camano Island. Just a tiny taste of… Read More
