A sample of the beauty at my favorite local market. Fremont Market How darling is this dog? I had to snap his photo when I realized he was being ferried around in a stroller! I am fairly sure he was posing for me. Happy Weekend, Friends

Behind the Blog: Keren from Free Pretty Things for You
Peeps! It’s a new edition of Behind the Blog– with a blogger who is as genuine and sweet as the vintage images she shares… Keren from Free Pretty Things For You. She’s even gifting us with a darling new image right here– at the end of the post. How did “Free Pretty Things For You” come about? I believe the Lord works something negative into something positive when you’re trusting in Him. FPTFY was created after I was laid off from a staffing agency—while I was pregnant. As I searched and applied for work online, I would wonder off to… Read More
Make It Monday: Family Frame Project
Hi Friends! I'm sort of going through "VWS"… Vacation Withdrawal Syndrome. While looking through photos of our recent family trip, I decided we needed a daily reminder of how much fun we had. This project is quick and easy. The best part is that the kids do the creating. Supplies: A wooden frame with lots of "real estate" (this one is from Michaels), chalkboard paint, letter circles (or scrabble time would be cute), and colored chalk, Quick Grip or some other type of strong glue. Most important ingredient– a cute family photo. Optional: Oil paint in Burnt Umber… Read More
Balance
Life itself is artistic. The profound beauty of nature, creatures, motion, stillness, work, communication, spaces, emotion and even gravity inspires us all. For me, it's all about staying attuned to that very idea. It's easy to lose sight of this when daily life is comprised of important (and not-so-important) hurdles that need focus. But there's nothing to say this feeling can't stay somewhere in the back of your mind — and that's balance. — Amy Butler

Ok—you’re a published Author, Crafter, Mega Blogger, Mom, Wedding Planner and Writer… how do you manage your time? Any tips? Ha, ha, ha {maniacal laughter}…Schedules and I have never… Read More
Oh, Willow (Giveaway)
Hi Friends I couldn't resist the random Princess Bride reference. Besides being one of my favorite movie characters, Willow is also the name of a really cool shop in Chelan, Washington. Owner Robyn Skaar stocks her store with stunning one-of-a-kind handmade items. Like these necklaces that I am sort of in love with from Cowgirl Friend. And guess what? Robyn is giving away a gift certificate to her shop. Pop on over to Vintage Indie to enter.
Yummy Wednesday: Amy Clancy Salad
My dear pal Amy Clancy first made me this salad (gulp) eight years ago when I was pregnant with Max. She had a lovely baby shower for me in her backyard with tons of tasty "summer style" food. Over the years, pretty much every guest from the party has asked me to get them this recipe. It's that good! It's so funny to me to see the "real" name of the recipe… we all call it Amy Clancy Salad. Note: You make this the night before and let all the flavors mix and mingle Amy Clancy Salad (Chicken… Read More
