5 Easy No-Carve Pumpkin Ideas

{5 Easy No-Carve Pumpkin Ideas}

What did we do before there were faux pumpkins? Their versatility can’t be beat! Plus, you can use them year after year. I created these 5 no-carve pumpkins with a variety of craft supplies… the most important being acrylic paint.

Painted Pumpkin Ideas

Princess Pumpkin Idea

If you have a girlie girl at home, she’ll love this pumpkin princess.

5 Easy No-Carve Pumpkins

Supplies: Faux pumpkin, two shades of pink acrylic paint, pink glitter, adhesive rhinestones, pink curling ribbon.

Instructions: Paint a few coats a light pink paint, letting it dry between coats. Mix the darker pink color with the glitter and paint in on. Add adhesive rhinestones and ribbon on top.

 Chalkboard Pumpkin Idea

This chalkboard pumpkin is fun because you can always change the message!

Supplies: Faux pumpkin, black chalkboard paint, chalk pen.

Instructions: Paint a few coats of the chalkboard paint on until you have desired coverage. Write message with chalk pen or chalk.

Frankenstein Pumpkin Idea

This Frankenstein pumpkin is more cute than frightening!

Supplies: Faux Pumpkin, green acrylic paint, black duck tape (sheet), white duck tape (sheet), two circle punches and scissors.

Instructions: Paint the pumpkin green. You may need a few coats. Cut the hair and mouth out of black duck tape sheet. Punch the larger circle out of the white duck tape sheet and the smaller circle out of the black duck tape sheet.

School Spirit Pumpkin Idea

This idea is perfect for showing your support for you favorite school!

Supplies: Faux Pumpkin, glittered acrylic paint in one of your school colors (the glitter is already in the paint), a paper cutout of your school (found in the scrapbook sections of a crafts store) and glue dots. Curling ribbon in the school’s other color if desired.

Instructions: Paint the pumpkin (you know the drill, many coats until you get the right color). Let it dry and use glue dots to add the paper cutout. Add curling ribbon on top.

5 No-Carve Pumpkin Ideas

Bat Themed Pumpkin Idea

You won’t go batty creating this bat themed pumpkin because it’s so easy!

Supplies: Faux Pumpkin, Sheet of Black Duck Tape Paper, Bat shaped paper punch, adhesive letters, ribbon (if desired).

Instuctions: Paint the faux pumpkin. Punch the bat shapes out of the back duck tape paper and adhere. Add adhesive letters.

Note: I purchased the paint, glitter, chalkboard paint, chalkboard pen, Duck Tape Paper, paper “W Cougars” and adhesive letters at my favorite crafts store, Ben Franklin Crafts and Frames.
