Dollar Store Redux: Crown Hand Towels

Hey There! Looking for a fast and easy last minute Christmas or hostess gift? This project is for you!

CrownHandtowels1
Supplies: "Peace" Hand Towels from the Dollar Store, Avery Light Fabric Transfer Paper, Crafter's Pick Glue (this glue works on pretty much everything, including fabric and metal), upcycled white denim jeans, sharp scissors, an iron, a paintbrush, a few gems and free crown images from The Graphics Fairy.  For extra bling grab some Stickles.

CrownHandtowels2
Choose your crown images, select the 3 x5 size on your photo editing program and print the crowns out on the Transfer Paper. Cut the images out. When ironing the crowns onto the fabric, you'll want to spend about 20 seconds going left to right then 20 seconds going up and down with your hot iron.

  CrownHandtowels3

Too much ironing and the paper gets crispy. Too little and the image won't transfer.

CrownHandtowels4

Let it cool for a few minutes before removing the backing. I wait until it's completely cooled off.

CrownHandtowels5

Trim approximately a 1/2 inch around your image.

CrownHandtowels6

Use a paintbrush to apply the Crafter's Pick Glue all over the back on the image.

  CrownHandtowels8

And again with the gems.

   CrownHandtowels10

Let the glue set for a few hours and voila… hand towels fit for a King or Queen.

Thanks to The Graphics Fairy for the lovely images!

Linking Up to these fun parties.

Peace Out…

Malia
