Hi Friends! Here's a free printable Thanksgiving-ish banner for you:

The flowers are made out of a few other simple supplies:

BeThankful1

Circles punched from grocery bags, 8-10 cup coffee filters, rit dye, raffia and brads

BeThankful2

This is how it all fits together to make the flowers. Just trim some of the filters to give the flower a little dimension.

BeThankful3

First, dye the filters with the Rit Dye. I use salad tongs a metal bowl. The less water, the stronger the color.

BeThankful4

Set the filters on paper towels to dry.

BeThankful5

Pretty stack of orange and yellow.

BeThankful6

Make the center of the flowers from upcycled grocery bags. Use a brad to hold it together.

BeThankful7

Trim the coffee filters post-dye and crumple/uncrumpled them up. Trim to the size(s) you like.

BeThankful8

Happy flower.

BeThankful9

Happy flower(s).

Those flowers look great. You took a lot of effort to make them. Thanks for sharing the tutorial. I love how the banner turned out.

Absolutely beautiful, Malia! I love your technique for dying the coffee filters. I’m sharing a link on my Facebook page today.
With all the blog parties out there, and at one of the busiest times of the year, it means an awful lot that you take the time to share your talent on “A Little Birdie Told Me…” Tuesdays at Rook No. 17!
