Delicious recipe for Iced Peppermint Donuts
  • 2½ cups cake flour sifted
  • 1 cup granulated sugar
  • 2½ teaspoons baking powder
  • ¼ teaspoon ground cinnamon
  • 1½ teaspoons salt
  • 1 cup buttermilk
  • 2 eggs lightly beaten
  • 3 tablespoons butter, melted
  • ½ tsp of Peppermint Extract
  • ½ cup of crushed candy canes
  • Doughnut pan
  1. Preheat oven to 425 degrees
  2. Spray doughnut pan with non-stick cooking spray
  3. In a large mixing bowl, sift together flour, sugar, baking powder cinnamon and salt
  4. Add buttermilk, eggs and butter and stir until just combined
  5. Mix in peppermint extract
  6. Fill each doughnut cup approximately ½ way full
  7. Bake 10 minutes or until the top of the doughnuts spring back
  8. Run a butter knife along the rim to pop the doughnuts out
  9. Finish with store bought icing and crushed candy canes

These donuts are just a little sweet and just a tad pepperminty with a bit of crunch. In other words… delicious!
