Mint Oreo Brownies

Ingredients for Brownies: brownie mix, eggs, vegetable oil, water, 1 1/2 cups of crushed mint Oreos (reserve 1/2 cup frosting)

Frosting1

For Mint Frosting: vanilla frosting, green food dye, 1/2 cup crushed mint Oreos, peppermint extract

Brownie2

For brownies: Crush a cup of mint Oreos.

Brownie3

Follow the directions on the brownie mix.

After you get everything mixed together

Brownie5

Add the crumbled mint Oreos.

Brownie6

Chocolate-y deliciousness. Bake according to directions on box.

Frosting2

For frosting: mix vanilla frosting with 1/2 cup crushed mint Oreos, a teaspoon of peppermint extract, and a few drops of green food coloring.

Wait for brownies to completely cool and frost.

Brownie7

And for a more *grown up* version: Follow directions on brownie box and line a mini muffin tin with muffin cups. Mix in a cup of Oreos and bake according to instructions.

    Mmmmm I love peppermint. I was afraid these would be spearmint like the other mint brownies I’ve seen. THESE sound absolutely terrific!
