Fluffy No-Sew Skirt

I sure enjoy an inexpensive and easy project that takes under a couple hours– like this no-sew skirt!

Tulle1
Materials: 2 or more rolls of tulle, elastic, a piece of cardboard, sharp scissors and ruler.

Tulle2
Step 1: Measure around the waist with elastic.

Tulle3
Step 2: Tie a knot to mark the diameter you need, then put the elastic on a piece of cardboard.

Tulle4
Step 3: Measure 14" of two colors of tulle, layer on top of each other.

Tulle5
Step 4: Tie a tight knot on the elastic.

Tulle6
Step 5: Keep making your tulle layers and knots.

Tulle7
Step 6: After you make each knot, slide it close into the previous knot. Voila'… a big fluffy skirt!

It's fun to make a tulle skirt! I just might make one for myself…

Tulle9
The back is pretty cute too!

Tulle10
 My little girl loved it.

  1. Oh this is precious! I made these for my girls for their birthday party (their birthdays are 2 weeks apart) and I made the INSANE decision to make one for every girl that came to the party! Now that took me awhile but it was fun and I love that this is so easy! You did an amazing job and I love the look on your little girl’s face! So sweet. And I love how fluffy it is!

  4. I did this exact skirt for my daughters fairy party. They turn out so cute. The girls were in third grade. So I had pre-cut the tulle and placed it in a basket. We also had a fairy wand making station.
They could make their very own fairy skirt & wand!

  5. What a great idea – I saw tutu’s at Costco and I had to steer the cart the other way or else I would have bought two for my little grand nieces – this is a project that their mom could do – thanks for the idea :D

  7. Malia! This is super cute! I had to view this away from a certain little girl in this house… She would have me making one in every color combo she could imagine if she could see this!

  9. I love this project! It makes me long for the days when my girls enjoyed running around in frills and bows! I’m going to have to keep this post under my cap for when my baby niece gets a little older! Auntie Jenn will be a tulle tying fool, and loving every minute of it!
