Ladybug Cookies

Darling Lady Bug Cookies, perfect for a garden party or spring soiree

It’s almost spring, let’s celebrate with some Ladybug Cookies! These little cuties are simple to put together and they’re sure to brighten up someone’s day!

Darling Lady Bug Cookies, perfect for a garden party or spring soiree

Supplies: Nutter Butter Cookies, Red Candy Melts from Wilton, 1 1/2 tablespoons of vegetable oil, black cookie icing and candy eyes.

Directions

{Place Nutter Butters on a cookie sheet lined with wax paper}

1. Place the red candy melts in a microwave safe bowl and heat at one minute intervals in the microwave until melts are completely melted.

2. Stir the the vegetable oil (this thins the candy melts).

3.  Dip the Nutter Butters into the melted red candy and place on the cookie sheet. Note: You can fit 24 cookies on a sheet.

4. Place cookie sheet in fridge for an hour.

5. Draw a face on the cookies with the black icing and add eyes while the icing is still “wet.”

6. Draw a line down the center of the cookie with the black icing.

7. Add four dots (using photo as a guide).

    So adorable! Stopping by from FB Bloggertunities. I am going to have to find a way to make these gluten free for my little one.
