DIY Glitter Globes
DIY Glitter Globes
Glitter globe aren’t just for winter. This simple project is perfectly suited for anytime of the year. It’s easy and if you happen to have a little guy (or big guy) who creates models, you can snag their paint… making this project very inexpensive to put together.
Tip: Scan your junk drawers or kid’s toy bins for tiny figurines. If you need to buy them, Archie McPhee has a great selection, many available online.
Step 1: Paint the baby food lids with enamel paint and let completely dry.
Step 2: Use hot glue to secure figurine to the inside of the lid.
Step 3: Hold firmly in place to adhere.
Step 4: Put a teaspoon of Karo (corn syrup) in the container
Step 5: Fill up with water and mix it up. Add a teaspoon of fine glitter.
Step 6: Use a thin line of hot glue on the inside of the lid and quickly screw it on.
Shake and enjoy!
