Patriotic Chips & Salsa Bowls

Hello… I have an exciting MEGA giveaway to share with you… and fun crafts too (with stuff from Home Depot)!
Exciting news! I have teamed up with Coupons.com and 14 other creative DIY and craft bloggers to bring you a $200 e-card giveaway good to either Jo-Ann or Home Depot. You choose!
Coupons.com offers a wide selection of digital coupons for both companies and brands. They are the largest provider of digital coupons on the web! Including coupons for Home Depot as well as Jo-Ann Coupon codes.
As part of the giveaway, we were each given a $50 e-card to either Jo-Ann or Home Depot and asked to use it to create a DIY 4th of July project. Here is what I came up with!

 Patriotic Chips & Salsa Bowls

Make these “never-ending” Patriotic Chip & Salsa bowls with supplies from Home Depot! The 4th of July is all about fireworks, food and family. If you’e having some folks over to BBQ, set out these oversized Patriotic Chips & Salsa Bowls.

4th of July Patriotic Chips and Salsa Bowls - Yesterday on Tuesday

Supplies from Home Depot: Two blue buckets, 4 feet of red and white rope, a brass “4” (meant to be a house number), Super Glue, Sharpie Paint Pens. I also used a few things from my “craft stash”– star stencils, duck tape sheets, letter stickers.

Step 2: Using a gold Sharpie Paint Pen and a stencil, make stars (they dry very quickly)

Step 3: Continue making stars all over the bucket

Step 4: Use the Super Glue to attach the rope. Tip: After you cut the rope, hold a lit match close to the rope to stop the edges from fraying.

Step 5: Add letter stickers to the bucket spelling “Salsa”… seriously a bucket of salsa– that says “4th of July BBQ” to me!

Step 6: Add the “4” to the handle (for 4th of July of course!)
