How to transform a glass candle jar into a pretty candy jar, plus printable gift tags

I get a kick out of upcycling– finding new ways to use things bound for the recycling bin or trash can. I have been saving my used glass jar candles for some time. Even after the candles are past their prime (and down to an inch of melted wax), I find the jars to pretty. It would be a waste to get rid of them just because the candle wasn’t working anymore.

  1. love the idea and have done this for years to store change etc in. But edibles?? How do you get the scent out of the jar? I’ve noticed every time I open my saved candle/jar it still has the scent of the candle. I have even ran mine through the dishwasher & still scented. Love your posts !!

    1. Hi Mary! Thanks for your comment. I find that a quick wipe with rubbing alcohol (and then rinse after it dries) takes care of any odor.
