Cupcake Topper Christmas Ornaments

One to pin! 31 Handmade Christmas Ornament Ideas: Each day a different blogger shares their handmade ornament idea.

Hi Friends! I’m downright jolly about kicking off this special month-long event, guaranteed to give you at least 31 fabulous Handmade Christmas Ornament Ideas.

31 Bloggers - 31 Days - 31 Handmade Christmas Ornaments - Blog Hop - AnExtraordinaryDay.net

This exciting event was organized by my friend Diane from An Extraordinary Day. She’s awesome.

So I have an addiction to confess… I am addicted to buying cupcake toppers! If I see some cute ones at a bakery or store, I must add them to be collection. That’s what gave me the idea for these Cupcake Topper Christmas Ornaments.

Supplies: cupcake toppers, wooden discs, Americana Acrylic Paint in Snow, cotton balls, figurines, baker’s twine and hot glue. I also added a few more touches, using other little accessories I found at the craft store.

First, paint the discs white and let them dry. Then the fun part begins.

Add the cupcake topper and  figures to the disc with hot glue, then gently tear pieces from the cotton balls to make snow. Use hot glue to secure the cotton or use glue dots.  Here’s the snowman…One to pin! 31 Handmade Christmas Ornament Ideas: Each day a different blogger shares their handmade ornament idea. The reindeer…

And the penguin. Then if you happen to have any little extras to add… glue them on too! And add some baker’s twine to make hangars.

I added a little wreath to the Snowman Ornament.

Some extra snow to the Reindeer Ornament…

And a little present to the Penguin Ornament.

Fast, fun and easy! These also make great neighbor/teacher gifts. Your elves.. I mean kids(!) would have a blast putting these together, as long as a grown up is the one using the hot glue.

These are just too cute, I think I have some suitable little toppers already. I love it when I see an idea and I already have some or all of the supplies needed.
