Hey Friends! Did you all have a happy Valentine's Day? I hope so. I must admit I love all the pink, red and of course– hearts… so I am a little sad to see it go. But… I sure enjoyed looking through all the projects you crafty peeps posted last week! How can felt cake and brownies make my mouth water? Kim K has posted a really good tute on how to make these beauties. The rosebuds on the pink cake are just darling! Ahoy Mateys… Jodie at Love, Laughter & Decor created this nautical themed boy's room. Check… Read More
Mail Call
Does anyone (besides me) have a *thing* for snail mail? I love receiving letters and cards "the old fashioned" way and still look forward to the time each day that the red, white and blue mail truck stops at my house. Happily for me, I've been received some especially wonderful things recently. Like these cards from my friend artist Pam Holderman. I won them in a contest she was having on her blog. All you had to do was guess which famous moustached star Pam is related to. It didn't take a "PI" to figure that one out (plus her… Read More
Fall Color Trends
I know that you’re thinking. It isn’t even spring yet. But Pantone has come out with their fall colors and they are just too delicious not to share. What are your thoughts on this palette? They are calling this collection “Sensible and Spirited.” Influences: the great masters, sepia tones of old Hollywood, Chinese opera, cityscapes and countryside. Menswear with feminine twists, warm prints with cool metals– creating an intriguing balance between colors. Bamboo, a surprising fall hue, brings a warm, exotic flavor to the season. Like a filtered sunset on the waning days of fall, Bamboo is a standout yellow… Read More
Red + Blue Valentine’s Day Brunch

Cutting a "v" in the tops of strawberries… transforms them into hearts. Strawberries and blueberries for a first course. A little rosemary pIant is thriving in an old flower pot with a fresh coat of red chalkboard paint, creating a Valentine's Day centerpiece. Back in the kitchen… combining milk, eggs, cinnamon, vanilla extract and almond extract to dip the bread into. A panini grill… Read More

Love
(via) Love is patient; love is kind and envies no one. Love is never boastful, nor conceited, nor rude; never selfish, not quick to take offense. There is nothing love cannot face; there is no limit to its faith, its hope, and endurance. In a word, there are three things that last forever: faith, hope, and love; but the greatest of them all is love.” 1 Corinthians 13
