Trendspotting: Pie Birds

After reading about them in this month's Country Living and Martha Stewart magazines, the Pie Bird trend has caught my attention. Vintage or brand new there are so many darling choices.

Ohhh…I love them, too! I’m all about birds; we had love birds cuddled up on top of our wedding cake :-) I would love to have a whole collection but considering that I can’t tell you the last time I actually baked a pie, it would be a bit impractical!
They are all so cute but I love the hen. I think I need to find me some of these ;)

My mom loved birds, and would have been a huge fan of the cardinal one.
Am I the only one who had to look up what a pie-bird was? LOL
I know now. Very cute, but I’ve only made one pie in my entire lifetime (an apple pie last fourth of July).
