Pretty Peeps Treats
Hey Peeps! Here's a simple Peeps/Rice Krispies treat you can pull together in no time for Easter tomorrow:
You Need: 5 cups of Rice Krispies, 3 tablespoons of butter, about 3 packages of Peeps, 1/2 cup small jellybeans, baking or muffin cups. Recipe makes a dozen treats.
Step 1: Remove the heads/tails of 12 peeps (this felt very uncomfortable to me for some reason!)
Use the "bodies" and other Peeps to measure about 4 cups
Melt the 3 tablespoons of butter, adding the the 4 cups of Peeps. Stir, stir, stir
Prepare your baking/muffin cups (when I say prepare, I just mean have them out and ready to fill) J
When the Peeps are melted, add the jelly beans and mix.
While still goey, fill the baking/muffin cup up with the mixture.
Plop the head/tail on top, pressing firmly.
Pretty Peeps!
Although I am not a "Peep" eater myself, I do appreciate how they seem to have a little bit of personality.
Review from the kids: REALLY good and REALLY sweet. It's a little crunchier than regular Rice Krispie Treats too.
Wishing each of you a very Happy Easter!
BIG Hug,
Linking Up
