Guest Postage: Carolyn’s Homework
Hi everyone. I’m Carolyn from Homework and I’m delighted to be here at Yesterday on Tuesday. Malia and I met through her link party and solidified the blog friendship when I started my link parties. I love when that happens.
Anyway, Malia asked me to share some of my projects with you and I’m happy to oblige.
I love a good upcycle project and I made this magnetic board out of an old cookie sheet. It’s such a simple project – just wrap a cookie sheet in fabric and add some fun twine. Instant magnetic/memo board.
Do you remember those candy necklaces on elastic string? Do they still sell those? Here’s an easy way to make your own candy necklace. Wrap candy in cello wrap and tie with pretty string. This is a fun craft for kids or to pass out as party favors.
If you like the chippy, vintage rusty look, you can make your own rusted cans. These are regular tin cans covered in paper. The paper is a print out of a rust image and then I Mod Podged it onto the can. Fun!
This tray had seen better days and was almost heading to the donation center but I decided to give it a facelift. I spray painted the tray black and then printed out a tile image. I cut out the tiles and Mod Podged them onto the tray.
your “tile” tray is brilliant (love all the others as well) – thanks for sharing it! XO Bev
Wonderful projects and I love the candy necklace idea and yes, they do still sell them!
