Vintage YoT: Upcycled Glass Vases + Green Tulips

Hi Friends… Grab anything green that you have in your recycling bin and craft supplies. We're going to make some "shamrock" vases and some green flowers for St. Pat's Day.

Shamrock1
Supplies: Armour Etch, contact paper, shamrock and other punches, green glass bottles (mine were mineral water bottles). In the meantime, grab some white flowers and green food coloring.

Shamrock2
Punch the shapes out of the contact paper. It's easier to work on the "paper" side as opposed to the "contact" side.

Shamrock3
Mess around with the shapes to see what you like.

  Shamrockfirst

Remember those white flowers?

Shamrocksecond

Dissolve some green food coloring in water and let your flowers soak it up overnight.

Shamrockthird
Pretty cool huh?

Shamrock4
Back to the vases. Apply the contact paper and…

Shamrock5
Push out air pockets as much as possible.

Shamrock6
 Generously apply the Armour Etch.

Shamrock7
Wait 5 minutes and rinse the Armour Etch off with water.

Shamrock8
Here's how the looked.

Shamrock12
Then the fun part… embellish away!

Shamrock10
Old scrabble tiles were distressed with ink and glued on canvas (that was spritzed with Tattered Angels Mist).

Shamrock11
Side note– I thought this was cute.

Shamrock16
Burlap ribbon and a star punched out of cereal box cardboard was painted and glittered. The key was from the free Pottery Barn gift wrap over the holidays.

Shamrock17
A flower made out of muslin with a marble for the center.

Shamrock18
A vintage pin finds a new use.
