Vintage YoT: Easter Peat Pot Project
Hi Friends…
I really love Easter. I am inspired by the notion of new beginnings. I adore the pastel shades and hues associated with the holiday. And most of all– I have a sweet tooth and it's socially acceptable to consume vast amounts of candy and sweets at Easter!
Here's a crafty project you can make to hold some of those treats…
Supplies: Modge Podge, Peat Pots, Pipe Cleaners, Seam Binding or Ribbon, Hole Punch and Sheet Music. The Graphics Fairy offers free printable sheet music here. Optional: Acrylic paint to pre-paint the pots, easter grass or shred up some scrap paper in your shredder.
Print out the vintage sheet music and rip strips and scraps.
Flip a sheet of the music over and trace and cut out a circle to cover the bottom of the peat pots.
Pour yourself some Modge Podge on a paper plate and Podge away!
After it's dry, punch two holes on opposite sides of the pot.
Measure out how long you'd like your pipe cleaner "handles" and slip the pipe clean through the holes, folding the ends up inside the pot.
There's your little basket. Fill it up with easter grass or paper shreds and tie a piece of seam binding or ribbon on top.
Tuck an egg inside and you're ready for Easter.
