Starry Night Book Pages-Yesterday on Tuesday

This project was inspired by the clear, dark starry nights of summer.

Supplies: vintage book(s), adhesive stars (dollar store), Rit Dye in Denim, twine, an xacto knife, and tweezers.

Gently remove page "bundles" from book with an xacto knife. Make patterns with star stickers on top page.

Use the back of the xacto knife to gently push down on sticker, making sure it adheres as much as possible.

Mix Rit Dye according to package directions. Use salad tongs and gloves when dying paper. Gently lower paper in and let dye saturate it. Remove and place on paper towels. Let paper dry (but not all the way) then gently remove stickers. Use tweezers if they aren't coming off easily. Let paper completely dry and tie with twine.

We use stickers like that at our children Sunday school. I would never thought of using it for crafts! This looks so wonderful!
I have a link party happening today. I hope you could come by and join :)
