Vintage Finds: Fisher Price Farmhouse
Hi Friends. You know how I have that *thing* for vintage Fisher Price Little People toys? Not that long ago, I wrote about finding the little red schoolhouse and tudor house. Well, watch your back Donald Trump… my real estate empire has just expanded– yes, I bought the farm!
The small-ish sign caught my eye as I drove down the street last week. There were those three MAGIC words: Estate Sale Today. So I hightailed over there… I am always looking for Jadite, Lustreware and White Milk Glass. There was lots of wonderful glassware and vintage dishes at the estate sale but none of the stuff that I collect.
Since it was more of a "Grammy's" house I didn't even think about Fisher Price. I was just about to leave when I thought– "Why not check out the upstairs?" So I did… and tucked away among stuffed animals and the world's biggest Pez dispenser collection was a cache of fun.
The farmhouse and silo were grimy, but in great working order. The best was when I heard the satisfying "Moo" sound when I opened the barn doors. I am not sure if all of the original farm set was there, but there was a lot… plus some extra peeps.
It would have been hard to resist at any price, but for $10… it was a steal. I could hardly contain my excitement. Unfortunately for me, my 6 year old was back at school so I didn't have anyone to play "barn" with me till later. But I know we have hours of farm fun ahead of us!
Have a Blessed Weekend!

Down on the farm!
Oh….I so remember this! Wonderful find. : ) Enjoy.
I am so sorry I did not keep my children’s Fisher Price farm, school, circus. etc. I never dreamed of having grandchildren, let alone great-grandchildren one day. My oldest, now 50 yrs old, loved the Fisher Price toys and played by the hours with them. He also had an original G I Joe, kicking myself for not keeping that too. So you young mothers keep the favorite toys to pass on to your grands and great-grands some day.
Happy dance…this is amazing…I soooo remember these…lucky you! xoxo The sweetest farm ever!
Malia, I had no idea that this was another thing we have in common! I, too, collect vintage Fisher Price Little People! I have two of the Tudor houses, the barn, the airport, and the Ferris wheel. Hot on my list of must-haves are the schoolhouse, the parking garage, the carousel and the Sesame Street apartment building. All that remains of my Sesame Street apartment building from childhood is my “Gordon”.
My kids love the toys as much as I do and will spend hours of good old fashioned fun setting up a Little People world in their rooms.
Who’s your favorite character? I love the kid with the freckles and the sour expression who wears his hat backwards. We call him “Sid”.

Wow, what a fun find! I love this toy, I have ours stashed away in the attic…I guess I’m saving it for my grandkids one day! lol
I love all of those! My mom has the school house and someday it will be mine : ) Would love to have a barn too! And the camper : )
I am quite the vintage Fisher Price enthusiasts as well. My mother-in-law is an extreme crazy toy hoarder (like seriously she should have a museum but instead chooses to store her collection in multiple leaky SHEDS?! what?!! she makes me bonkers.) I would love to adopt all of cool vintage pieces and share them with cute folks like yourself, who would appreciate them! ;)
