Hi there, Yesterday on Tuesday readers!  First – a BIG thank you to Malia for having me!!  I am thrilled to be here and share a sweet Spring gift with you!  But first, let me introduce myself … my name is Keri and I blog over at shaken together!

Shaken Together

My hubby and I just celebrated our 13 year wedding anniversary, we have two boys (10 and 12), two cats and I love our crazy life!  At shaken together, I love to share recipes (I’m partial to desserts!), quick crafts, easy DIYs and seasonal gifts!

I host a link party each Friday, so please consider this your invitation to drop by sometime and share your best and brightest posts! Seasonal gift giving is one of my favorite things … I love to create inexpensive but beautiful gifts to celebrate the season.  Spring is the perfect time to celebrate bright colors and blooming flowers … and it’s never a bad idea to include chocolate!  So today, I’ll show you how I made a quick Spring candy dish made with a dollar store candle stick!

Dollar Store Candy Dish

A friend of mine brought over a stack of these pretty little flower dishes that she scored for $1 each at our local TJ Maxx.  (Your local thrift store or discount store may have something similar.)  I knew that with the addition of a dollar store candle stick, I could make a Spring candy dish for an inexpensive but pretty gift for teachers, co-workers or Mothers Day!

Using E6000 adhesive (please read the label and use as directed), I glued the flower bowl to the candle stick and allowed it to dry. I filled a bag with candy, tied yellow and blue ribbons on the candle stick and this Spring flower candy dish is ready for gift giving!

Chocolate is not the only way to fill this … it would be a great way to corral jewelry in your bathroom or even paperclips at your desk, too!  Have you made anything fantastic with those dollar store candle sticks?!

Before I go, I’d love to share a few more of my favorite recent Spring posts:
