Thanksgiving Candlestick Decor
{Thanksgiving Candlestick Decor}
Are you heading to your family’s house or a friend’s home for your Thanksgiving meal? Why not make a fun hostess gift that she can enjoy for years to come? This Thanksgiving Candlestick decor is effortless… the hardest part is waiting for the paint to dry (and that doesn’t even take very long).
Supplies: 3 Wooden Candlesticks, Americana Acrylic Paint in Golden Straw, leaf wire, 3 corks, masking tape and X-Acto knife. Supplies from Ben Franklin Crafts and Frames in Redmond.
Step 1: Tape off the candle holder portion of the candlesticks.
Step 2: Paint the candlesticks. Mine needed 3 coats of paint.
Step 3: Use an x-acto knife to cut slits in the corks. Place them in the candle holder spot. Ideas: Slip in fun Thanksgiving Art. Mine is from artist and blogger Laura Kulhman, find it here. Or pop a few family photos in from past Thanksgivings… they are great conversation starters.
Step 4: Add some leaf wire to embellish. That’s it! For fun Thanksgiving Crafts for Kids:

Thank you Tausha! Happy Thanksgiving to you and yours!
You come up with the best ideas! I’m so glad that you’ve posted so many fun Thanksgiving projects this month instead of jumping to Christmas and skipping over Thanksgiving. I love turkey decor and will be kind of sad to put mine away next weekend.
