When you’re thinking about what food to serve at your holiday celebration… consider taking a stroll down the freezer and refrigerated food aisles! There are tons of great ingredients and products there that can make cooking your holiday meal fast and fun.
I want to share two delicious recipes with you, featuring products from the freezer aisle, as well as the refrigerated food aisle.
The refrigerated food aisle is literally filled with items that are real, simple, fresh and easy to customize. As a matter of fact, I used a few refrigerated food items to make these Rosemary Cheddar Rolls. They are so quick and easy to make!
{Rosemary Cheddar Rolls}
MMM can’t you practically taste these lovely rolls?
Head for the refrigerated food section of your favorite grocery store and grab some refrigerated roll dough, sharp cheddar choose and rosemary.
Unroll the dough and use a round cookie cutter or a glass to cut smaller circles out of the rolls. Chop up the rosemary.
Sprinkle the cheese and rosemary on top of the dough.
Bake at 350 degrees for 15 minutes.. and serve them up. Your guests will be delighted!
And… don’t forget to visit the freezer aisle when you’re planning your holiday dessert! Did you know there are more than 3700 different foods available there? They range from healthy fruits and vegetables to ice cream and novelties. Speaking of ice cream… pop over to the refrigerated food section to get some cookie dough and then hit the freezer aisle for some ice cream and non-dairy whipped topping!
{Chocolate Chip Cookie Bowls with Peppermint Ice Cream}
This delicious dessert is perfect for the holidays!
Ingredients: Chocolate Chip cookie dough, ice cream and non-dairy whipped topping. You’ll also need oven-safe ramekins. Preheat the oven to 350 degrees.
Tip: Scoop out some ice cream into muffin liners and place in a muffin tin in the freezer. The scoops will stay nice until you need them!
Use a spoon to pack about 1/4 cup of cookie dough into each ramekin.
You want a thin layer of dough that comes up the sides.
Here’s what mine looked like going into the oven.
Bake for 15 minutes until golden brown and cooked all the way through.
Add a scoop of ice cream, a dollop of non-dairy whipped topping and for decoration… a tiny candy cane.
ENJOY!
