Valentine's Day with Apple Barrel Paints

I LOVE Valentine’s Day. So I was super excited to get a box of Apple Barrel Craft Paint and stencils from Plaid Crafts!

I wanted to create something related to Valentine’s Day and school with all the happy, bright colors.

Inspired by the charming hues, I decided to make a special Valentine’s Day gift for my daughter’s teacher, “A Garden of Hearts Valentine’s Day Gift.” I chose five of my favorite Apple Barrel Craft Paint colors, some chipboard hearts (one for each student), a large wooden heart, green pipe cleaners, a red paint pen and a decor item– a small wooden fence. I also used a glue gun and hot glue.

Aren’t these colors dreamy?  The Apple Barrel Craft paint was versatile. It worked well on the chipboard and wood!

I was also impressed by the quality of the paint. The application was smooth and the colors were vibrant. The paint was easy to clean up when I had a goof. I accidentally painted my kitchen counter! Luckily a little soap and water took care of the issue. Valentine's Day with Apple Barrel Paints

After the paint dried, I wrote the name of each student with a red pen (to mimic the look of conversation hearts).

I also painted the wooden heart and wrote a message for the teacher.

Then it was just a matter of arranging the hearts on the fence.
