How to Plan a Summer Sauvignon Blanc White Wine Party

With the longer days and warmer weather, it’s the perfect time to gather friends and celebrate the season with a Summer Sauvignon Blanc White Wine Party. The right wine or wines can set the tone of a party. And now, there’s a gorgeous new wine to enjoy: Sonoma-Cutrer Winemaker’s Release Sauvignon Blanc .

From vineyards within California’s Russian River Valley, this delicious wine has a bright and vibrant style. Enjoy aromas of passionfruit, lychee, lime and white peach with overtones of wet stone minerality. It’s a sleek and crisp palate with tropical flavors of guava and passion fruit that mingle with notes of grapefruit, mandarin and lime.

How to Plan a Summer Sauvignon Blanc White Wine Party

I wanted to make this wine the centerpiece of a Summer Sauvignon White Wine Party, and also feature two other wines from Sonoma-Cutrer as well as appetizers to complement these white wines. Here are some tips for your Summer Sauvignon Blanc White Wine Party.

Party Planning Tips

1. Choose the right wine or wines to set the mood.

2. Create appetizers that complement the wines.

3. Have a wine tasting and discuss your favorites.

4. Relax and Have Fun!

Appetizers

It was fun creating some tasty apps that would work well with all three of the world class Sonoma-Cutrer white wines that we’d be drinking. Along with the Sauvignon Blanc, there were also two delightful Chardonnays, one from the Sonoma Coast and the other from the Russian River Ranch.

I chose a nutty cracker with a sliver of Vintage Gouda and Amarena Cherries from Italy for the Sauvignon Blanc.

For the Sonoma-Coast Chardonnay, I went with a simple cracker topped with a Lavender Thyme cow’s milk cheese. How to Plan a Summer Sauvignon Blanc White Wine Party

And a pear crisp topped with Honey Flavored Goat’s Milk and Candied Almonds for the Sonoma-Cutrer Russian River Ranches Chandonnay.
