Patriotic Party Caddy
Patriotic Party Caddy
I’m so thrilled to be part of the Red, White and Blue Blog Hop. There are nearly a hundred of us bloggers who have gotten together to each create a patriotic project for 4th of July. So fun!
Here’s my project, a Patriotic Party Caddy.
I wanted to make a cute and useful hostess gift. Something that had a few “extras” for the hostess and I wanted it to be something versatile that she could use in the future for entertaining.
And I made a fun discovery as I put it all together! Supplies: Wire caddy (it’s from Ben Franklin Crafts and Frames), 3 glass milk bottles (these are from Michaels), a faux sunflower stalk, a cute dishtowel, patriotic stars on a wire, a chalkboard sign and heres’ the surprise item:
So you know those adorable little Bonne Maman Jam Jars? You can find them at World Market if you don’t see them at your local grocery store. They’re perfect for picnics. Anyway, they have a super cute lid.
What I figured out is that the lid works perfectly on those cute milk bottles we’re been seeing at the craft store. Darling, right?
So fill up a couple of those cute bottles with red, white or blue candy and then add the lid (and if you have a sticker or embellishment that works, add that too).
Fasten the sunflower by weaving the stem in and out of the back of the caddy.
Tie up the dishtowel with the festive wire.
Add some straws.
Tuck a cute sign in there.
What a great gift!
