Mason Jar R2D2 Craft
I am so psyched for the new Star Wars move to come out next month! I thought I’d combine two of my favorite things– mason jars and DecoArt paint, for a FUN project.
Supplies: Quart sized mason jar and Americana Decor Paint in Lamp Black, True Red, Primary Blue, Slate Gray and Warm White. I also used a piece of felt, scissors and craft glue.
First, I painted the mason jar Warm White. It took about three coats.
Nest I cut the felt into shapes to give the jar a “R2D2” look. Here are the shapes and the colors I painted them.
Here’s the felt after I painted it and it dried.
By the way, I traced a bowl to make that half circle “head” shape for R2D2.
Next I glued the largest pieces to the jar.
Then the smaller pieces.
