7 Terrific Thanksgiving Projects
Halloween is a “sweet” memory … it’s time to start thinking about Thanksgiving! Here are some simple projects that are perfect for fall and turkey day. All the great craft materials are from Ben Franklin Crafts and Frames in Redmond.
Fun Foam Thanksgiving Wreath
Materials: Foam wreath and Thanksgiving themed stickers
Directions: Add stickers to the wreath.
Pumpkin Frame
Materials: Wooden cutout pumpkin frame, wooden board, white acrylic paint, glue dots, hot glue and a photo.
Directions
1. Mix some acrylic paint with water and paint the pumpkin cut out.
2. Trim a photo to fit behind the pumpkin and adhere to the cutout with glue dots.
3. Use hot glue to attach the pumpkin cutout to the wooden board.
Place Card Holder Ideas
Corny Chalkboard Place Cards
Materials: Small wooden chalkboards, small faux corn, hot glue, acrylic paint and chalk.
Directions
1. Paint the base of the chalkboard with the acrylic paint.
2. Snip off the tau corn cob and hot glue it to the front of the place card.
3. Write your guest’s name with chalk on the front of the place card.
Wooden Pumpkin Place Card
Materials: wooden pumpkin place card kit, orange acrylic paint, scrapbook paper, scissors and Mod Podge.
Directions
1. Paint the pumpkin orange.
2. Trace the oval shape onto scrapbook paper, cut it out and glue paper to oval piece. Then glue oval piece to pumpkin.
3. Add a name place card.
Grateful Sign
Materials: Wooden sign, vinyl from Decorating Your Life, metal leaves, DecoArt Rose Gold Acrylic Paint.
1. Paint the sign Rose Gold.
2. Following the package directions add the vinyl.
3. Snip off the metal leaves and use hot glue to secure them to the board.
Cute Pilgrim Puppets
This is a kit that comes with everything you need to make six pilgrim puppets.
Napkin Ring Ideas
Materials: Wood napkin holder, acrylic paint, twine, wood leaf and hot glue.
1.Paint the napkin holder.
2. Wind twine around it and secure with hot glue.
3. Tie a bow and glue a leaf on top.
Materials: Wood napkin holder, acrylic paint, strip of scrapbook paper, faux leaf and hot glue.

Scrapbook Paper Pumpkin
Materials: Wood Pumpkin, paper trimmer, scrapbook paper, Royal Coat Decoupage
1. Trim strips of paper to fit on pumpkin.
2. Use Royal Coat to adhere them.
3. Add another coat of Royal Coat on top.
4. Embellish if desired.
