French Onion Soup and Parmesan Crisps
Fall is that time of the year when I crave comfort food. Give me something warm and savory and I’m in heaven! That’s why I love this French Onion Soup Recipe. It comes together quickly and it makes even the chilliest evenings feel warm. I like to pair the soup with these delicious Parmesan Crisps… because there’s never enough cheese when it comes to French Onion Soup.

French Onion Soup Recipe
Ingredients: 3 medium onions, 1 tsp flour, 2 tbs butter, 2 cans Swanson Chicken Broth, 2 cans Swanson Beef Broth, baguette of french bread cut into 1/2 slices, 1/4 cup shredded swiss cheese, 1/4 cup shredded parmesan cheese. Makes 6 servings.
First, slice the onions.
Then sauté the butter and flour.
Add onions and stir until golden brown.

Next add the broth to the onion mixture. Stir until heated thoroughly. Grab a piece of sliced bread…
And place it in the bottom of a bowl.
Add soup mixture.
Top with Swiss and Parmesan Cheese.
Bake at 350 degrees until cheese melts. Speaking of cheese. you can never have enough right?
Ingredients: 1/2 cup shredded Parmesan, parchment paper, cookie sheet. Preheat oven to 400 degrees. Use tablespoon to scoop cheese and put in piles on cookie sheet. Bake for 5-7 minutes or until crisps get brown. Makes 9 crisps.

- 3 medium onions, sliced
- 1 tsp flour

- Loaf of French Bread, cut in 1/2 slices (you’ll need at least 2 slices)
- 1/4 cup each of shredded Swiss and Parmesan Cheese
- Saute butter and flour
- Add onions and stir until golden brown
- Add beef and chicken broth
- Stir till heated thoroughly
- Place on piece of bread at the bottom of the soup bowl
- Add soup mixture
- Top with Swiss and Parmesan Cheese
- Make at 350 degrees until cheese melts
