Acts of Kindness
Hi Friends. I want to share a little story with you. Sometime during the hustle and bustle of the holidays I was shopping at my favorite thrift store. It was a busy day at the shop, the carts packed full of all sorts of things. Except one cart that caught my eye. It was piled high with two types of items: cozy sweatshirts and warm coats. And this very cute and friendly lady named Debbie was buying ALL of them.
Debbie
Turns out Debbie is a volunteer for a group called AOK Friends or Acts of Kindness Friends. She was buying that huge stack of cold-weather gear for homeless people in the Seattle area. As Debbie said in a recent Seattle Times article, "It just feels good to help these people. I put myself in their situation, and I feel for them."

Thank you Debbie for all you do to help those in need and for the inspiration you give to others to do the same.
Happy New Year Malia! I love tangible acts of kindness. And it is great that so many of them are so young! Thanks for sharing–an inspiring way to start the year.
it’s awesome to know there are still those who think about others right now too. Way to go for her, and what a great story to share for the first of the year! happyy New Year!
Thanks for sharing! Happy New Year!
Malia, Thank you for posting this and for including the link to the article. These are my favorite stories! There is nothing more inspiring to me than someone who has a vision, and then makes it happen. Love and wishes for a happy, healthy new year!
