DIY Honeycomb Paper Christmas Trees

Honeycomb Paper Christmas Trees

Materials: Honeycomb paper by We R Memory Keepers, the die cut machine at Ben Franklin Crafts and Frames in Redmond or scissors, paper adhesive. All materials available at Ben Franklin Crafts and Frames in Redmond.

Directions

1. Cover half the Christmas tree diecut, leaving the adhesive edge along the center. The shape will form into a circle around that adhesive line. Or use scissors to cut Christmas tree shape into the paper.

2. Diecut your shape

3. Once cut, apply a quick adhesive to one side of the shape.

4. Pull the shape 360 degrees around and carefully connect the two sides.

How to make a Naughty or Nice Reversible Sign

Naughty or Nice Sign

Materials: Chipboard sign, 2 patterns of scrapbook paper, red acrylic paint, white acrylic paint, ribbon, die cut letters or letter stickers (two colors), santa hat stickers, faux holly sprigs and craft glue.  All materials available at Ben Franklin Crafts and Frames in Redmond.

Directions

1. Paint the sign red.

2. Trim the scrapbook paper to fit the sign and adhere (both sides).

3. Paint a swath of white in the middle of both sides of the sign.

4. Add “Naughty” letters on one side and “Nice” on the other

5. Using photo as a guide add santa hats.

6. Glue ribbon to sign.

7. Glue faux holly sprigs to sign.

Transform a giant clothespin into a Snowman Photo Holder

Snowman Photo Holder

Materials: Giant white clothespin, vinyl snowman face, ribbon and snowflake stickers. All materials available at Ben Franklin Crafts and Frames in Redmond.

Directions

1. Add vinyl face to clothespin

2. Add snowflake stickers for buttons

3. Tue a piece of ribbon around for the scarf.

4. Add a photo.

How to make a fun Lighted Christmas Sign

Lighted Christmas Sign

Materials: 8 x 10 frame, Merry Christmas vinyl, 3D star paper, green firefly lights. All materials available at Ben Franklin Crafts and Frames in Redmond.

Directions:

1. Add adhesive paper to glass part of frame (inside).

2. Add vinyl Merry Christmas to outside of frame.

3. Place lights inside.

Pinecone Christmas Trees, a fun pinecone craft for kids or adults

Pinecone Christmas Trees

Materials: pinecones, small terra cotta pots, green acrylic paint, white acrylic paint, Stickles, white or red pom poms mini stars and craft glue. All materials available at Ben Franklin Crafts and Frames in Redmond.

Directions

1. Paint pinecones green, let dry.

2. Paint tips of pinecones white, let dry.

3. Add Stickles to white areas to make it look like snow.

4. Add mini pom poms to trees.

5. Add a little star on top.

6. Glue pinecone to terra cotta pot.

Reindeer Candy Canes, a fun Christmas craft for kids

Reindeer Candy Canes

Materials: candy canes, brown pipe cleaners/chenille stems, googly eyes, red and black pom poms, bells, mini wreath and craft glue.  All materials available at Ben Franklin Crafts and Frames in Redmond.

Directions: Using the photo as a guide, wrap the pipe cleaners around the candy canes. Cut two smaller extra pieces and attach to make “antlers. Add the eyes, “nose,” jingle bells and mini wreath.

Make a Simple Wood Frame for Christmas decor

Simple Wood Frame

Materials: wood frame, ribbon and craft glue.  All materials available at Ben Franklin Crafts and Frames in Redmond.

Directions: Using photo as a guide, add ribbon to outside of frame. Make bow by creating three closed loops of varying size. Glue loops to top of frame.
