December Daily 2009: Just add words + pictures

My December Daily 2009 is underway– well at least there's the makings of it.  So far I am caught up to (drum roll) Day 2… but I have been keeping track of what's been going on and saving bits and pieces from each day.

Here it is:

Two things I am into this year:  burlap and mists.  Either Maya Mist or Glimmer Mist! Can't seem to get enough of either one.  For the cover I painted some chipboard with Making Memories paint in Red Wagon.  The paper is also Making Memories.  The Noel Bingo card is  from Jenni Bowlin. I sewed some random buttons on burlap for the top.  The stars are shimmer shapes from Scarpworks.  I used my green glimmer mist to turn a white star into a light green star. The button is probably Making Memories Vintage Findings.

I warned you– here's some burlap.  It was originally a burlap bag from a craft store.  I just cut it down and used a TON of No Fray on the edges.  The little cardholder in the middle is from Quickcutz.

This page is a piece of "Junque" mail– an ad for Jo Malone.  It's hard to see in my photo but the people are looking in a window with Christmas decorations in the background.

The snowflake paper has a felt-y texture.

This envelope is made out of a small Starbucks bag.  I used some Daisyd's paper to cover the other side and make an envelope.

Other side of my envelope.  Jenni Bowlin bingo card.

Glimmer mist on some chipbaord.  I like to save interesting shapes and use them as masks. I think this snowflake was from a Fancy Pants felt set.

On the left, Folk Art acrylic paint in Hauser Green Medium.  On the right, ancient scrap of Love, Elsie paper punched with a  Fiskars "threading water" border punch.

Here's the back of the ancient Love, Elsie paper.  On the right, baseball/business card plastic holder sliced down to size. Piece of burlap from craft store.  Little stop watch from Making Memories Vintage Findings.

On the left, that little heart bingo card is also Vintage Findings.  On the right– more fun with Maya Mist!   I'd probably mist anything that didn't move, given the chance.

The music paper is Making Memories.  On the right, I painted a piece of chipboard white and used… well you know what I used.

That paper on the left is a mysterious green envelope that appeared in my closet.  Making Memories paper on right.

Back of the book– cardboard from a Piperlime box.  Even their packaging is cute.

I know I'll be moving pages aroun
d and adding interesting things as I come across them. It's like a daily treasure hunt– so much fun.
