Make It Monday: Vintage Wallpaper Art

I feel a little guilty putting this post in the "Make It" category because it's SO easy.  I picked up some samples of vintage wallpaper a few years ago and I thought they were lovely.  Every now and then I'd bring them out and admire them but I still wasn't sure what to do with them.

Then one day, cruising down the cheap inexpensive frame aisle at my local craft store it hit me–

The wallpapers were pretty enough to frame (especially if the frames were 2/$5)!  I had quite a few patterns I liked, but I thought these three looked pretty together.

I think they turned out cute.  It's fun to see all the creative ways Vintage Wallpaper can be used.

Stop by tomorrow for Thrifty Tuesday.  I'm going to share my Fabric Stash Purge Party Finds.  And on Yummy Wednesday… Is it an ice cream cone?  A cupcake?  Does it matter when it looks this good?

  1. OK! I’m in love with the framing wall paper idea! I’ve been torn about what to hang in my bedroom, and I think you’ve finally given me the inspiration I need!

  2. I’m amazed at all the cool wall paper stuff you came up with. I had come to the conclusion that all the crafting I did with my mother in my youth was a crazy waste of time, and I should never craft again – but I was inspired by how simple it all was – and how great it made the simplest things look – the light switch and the kleenex box especially. The pattern on Kleenex boxes is always so ugly and dumb.
