Joy Inducing: Ivy’s Wish

Wow! This is music for your soul.

My friend Meredith, who works for The Make A Wish Foundation of Alaska and Washington has been telling me about this amazing young woman named Ivy. I just watched Ivy's "Wish" and I am blown away by her talent, strength and beauty.

From Make-A-Wish: Fifteen-year-old Ivy enjoys singing and is fascinated by the 1940's era. While her battle with brain stem cancer has affected her motor skills and singing ability, she did not let it interfere with her love for music.

Ivy's wish was to make a music video of one of her songs. Here's "At Ease."

Can't get enough Ivy?  You can see the behind the scenes making of her world premiere video here.

About Make-A-Wish: The Make-A-Wish Foundation of Alaska & Washington grants the wishes of children with life-threatening medical conditions to enrich the human experience with hope, strength and joy.

  1. Malia – I can’t believe this. Our connections just keep on growing. I work with Ivy’s aunt and I have been praying for her for a couple of years and then I just heard all about the premiere last week. So beautiful… crying here this morning. Thanks for sharing. I am so behind on visiting my blog friends. Wishing you and your family a wonderful Christmas season and no school break. I have big creative and cleaning plans. We will see what actually happens. Have not heard from Carrie btw.
    Blessings,
