Delicious Iced Pumpkin Chocolate Chip Donuts
Ingredients
- 2½ cups cake flour sifted
- 1 cup granulated sugar
- 2½ teaspoons baking powder
- ¼ teaspoon ground cinnamon
- 1 cup buttermilk
- 2 eggs lightly beaten
- 3 tablespoons butter, melted
- 1 cup of canned pumpkin
- 1/2 cup mini semi sweet chocolate chips
- doughnut pan
- orange cookie icing
- sprinkles
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 425 degrees
- Spray doughnut pan with non-stick cooking spray
- In a large mixing bowl, sift together flour, sugar, baking powder and cinnamon
- Add buttermilk, eggs and butter and stir until just combined
- Mix in pumpkin and chocolate chips
- Fill each doughnut cup approximately ½ way full
- Bake 15 minutes or until the top of the doughnuts spring back
- Run a butter knife along the rim to pop the doughnuts out
- Finish with glaze and sprinkles
