A rug can change the look of an entire room– giving it a fresh feel and new energy. Our Rec Room desperately needed an update. It’s the place where (up until recently) my kids played with their wooden trains, legos, Barbies and costumes for dress-up.
But my kiddos are getting older (don’t you just hate it when they do that?) and now my son is all about playing Minecraft with his buddies and “hanging out” in the Rec Room. So we needed a little revamp. Here’s what it looked like before:
It was a hodge-podge of toys and junk, with a couch sort of freestanding in the middle. Thank goodness for Mohawk, who sent me this fantastic rug: The Mohawk Ziggidy Rug in Yellow.
I love the happy yet sophisticated color palette!
White, dark gray, light gray and mustard yellow zig zags feel energetic and fun… and “cool” enough for a tween hangout.
