{Family Thanksgiving Art}
Felt, pipe cleaners and googly eyes– all great craft supplies that you probably have on hand (or you kid does!)
Let you children create some one-of-a-kind Family Thanksgiving Art. You can put it on display and the kids will feel so proud that you’re showing off their work!
Supplies: 12 x 12 Frame, 12 x 12 piece of scrapbook paper, sticky back felt, 5 different colors of felt (for feathers), scissors, orange pipe cleaner, googly eye. black Tulip Dimensional Paint, Aleene’s Tacky Glue. All craft supplies from Ben Franklin Crafts and Frames in Redmond.
Step 1: Remove glass from frame.
Step 2: Cut large and small circle out of sticky back felt. Trace the large and small circle on the “paper/back side” of the felt. I used old pinking shears to cut them out but you could just use regular scissors. Stick on 12 x 12 scrapbook paper to make turkey body.
Step 3: Cut a “feather” out of felt for each family member. Write name of each family member on a feather with black dimensional (puffy) paint. Let set.
Step 4: After names have set, use glue to put feathers on turkey.
Step 5: Cut a beak and wattle out of felt, glue on turkey face along with googly eye.
