{Dollar Store Cookie Stand}

DIY Cake Stand

 Hi… well we are getting down to the wire with Christmas coming tomorrow! I wanted to share one of my favorite gifts to make and give: a Dollar Store Cookie Stand. I like this gift because it’s cute and it only costs TWO DOLLARS if you have a few basic supplies around.

DIY Cake Stand

 Supplies: Festive plate (mine is from Dollar Tree) and candlestick holder (also from Dollar Tree). Since everything at Dollar Tree truly is one dollar (YAY) that’s just two bucks for the main components of this project. You’ll also need red spray paint and E-6000 glue.

DIY Cake Stand

 Directions: 1. Spray paint the candlestick red.

 2. Glue the candlestick to the bottom of the plate.

 3. Add cookies (or a cake!)

 That’s all there is to it.

Wishing you and your family a joyful Christmas!

    Love this. I did a variation for desserts at my son’s wedding reception. I visited several second hand stores and bought interesting plates and various (wine) glasses: turned the glasses upside down and voila! I used different heights of glasses so that the effect was tiered. Yours are so …Christmasy!
