Tortellini Caprese Salad Skewers

Barilla Tortellini

Are you entertaining this holiday season… or planning on attending a soiree where you need to bring something to share? I have a delicious, fresh and fun appetizer idea to share: Tortellini Caprese Salad Skewers, featuring Barilla Cheese and Spinach Tortellini!

First I want to dish on a deal going on right now at Safeway. You can save $.75 off the purchase of ONE (1) package of Barilla® Tortellini! It’s an in store promotion. Take advantage of it!

Barilla Tortellini

Here are the ingredients you’ll need:

Barilla Cheese and Spinach Tortellini, cherry tomatoes, mozzarella cheese balls, fresh basil leaves, balsamic vinegar and three sizes of wooden skewers. Lay the skewers out on your serving tray to determine how many of each size you’ll want to use to make a festive Christmas tree shape.

Barilla Tortellini

First, cook the Barilla Cheese & Spinach Tortellini, following package instructions.

Let the tortellini cool off, then stack the skewers: tortellini, cheese, a tomato and then basil leaf. Repeat until skewer is full.

Form a tree shape with the skewers.

Drizzle them with balsamic vinegar.

Enjoy!
