Hometalk on TV and a Giveaway

Hello! I had a wonderful adventure last week that I want to share with you… and you won’t want to miss the giveaway towards the end of the post.

Hometalk Homefluencer

OK… here goes! I got the opportunity to represent Hometalk on local television here in Seattle. If you aren’t already familiar with Hometalk, it’s the leading social networking site for home and garden enthusiasts on the web. One of the things that is so neat about Hometalk is that you can not only “clip” or save projects and ideas, you can also get information and directions on projects too. SUPER COOL right? Side note: It takes about a minute to join Hometalk and it’s free.

So, with donning my official Hometalk apron and with my DIY ornaments in hand, I went to the station last week.

I wanted to share some behind the scenes photos with you from that day. Sorry if some of the photos are a bit blurry. My friend Brandon was snapping them during his work break.

KOMO 1

Here’s what the demo table looks like all set up.

And here I am right before the segment was on. I was doing it live. EEK!

KOMO 3 I talked to the anchor Molly Shen, about five different kind of ornaments that you can make using clear glass ornaments. By the way, Molly is just as lovely in person as she is on TV! And she’s so nice too.

KOMO 5

 It was lots of fun!

Here’s the segment if you want to check it out:
