Candy Apples

Hi Folks! So do you happen to have some clear ornaments left over from last Christmas? There are plenty of fun things you can do with them, including making “Candy Apples.”

DIY Candy Apples

I have been hanging on to some glass ornaments for {ahem} a few years now! I was about to donate them to charity, when I got an idea to make them into applies instead.

Supplies: Clear glass or plastic ornaments, red and green Sixlet candy, Glue Dots, googly eyes, leaves, yellow and brown pipe cleaners.

 DIY Candy Apples

1. Fill the ornament with candy.

2. Using Glue Dots, add googly eyes and a leaf. Note: Don’t use hot glue– it can cause the ball the explode.

3. Fold the brown pipe cleaner into an “M” shape (each fold is about 1/2 inch long) and attach to top of ornament with a Glue Dot.

4. Cut a 2 inch piece of yellow pipe cleaner off and make a smile shape. Use a Glue Dot to add it to apple.

Do you have any glass ornaments? What are you planning on making with them?
