Double Chocolate Rum Balls
Double Chocolate Rum Balls & Cookie Exchange
The holiday season is such a fun time and part of the reason is… the yummy treats! This winter, I’m happy to be a part of a virtual Christmas cookie exchange. Christmas Cookie Exchange Parties are the best. You show up the party with one kind of cookie, but collect many more cookies to enjoy. I am sharing my recipe for Double Chocolate Rum Balls for the Exchange. A big thanks to Melanie from Reasons to Skip The Housework for organizing all this.

- 2/3 cups Rum
- 1 1/2 packages crushed vanilla wafers
- 4 tablespoons cocoa
- 2 cups crushed walnuts
- 2 cups powdered sugar
- 5 tablespoons light Karo Syrup
- Extra powdered sugar to roll the balls in
- Place the chocolate wafers in a plastic bag and crush with a rolling pin OR grind in blender
- Combine wafers, cocoa, nuts, sugar and Karo
- Add rum
- Roll into balls (I used a tablespoon to make the balls the same size)
- Roll balls into powdered sugar
- Refrigerate for an hour
Here are 40+ delicious cookie exchange recipes so you can find the perfect cookie to take to the party this holiday season.
