If you have a loved one dealing with memory loss including dementia, you know one of the toughest parts is how challenging it can become for them to do “normal” activities. Some of the simple pleasures in life {like reading a book or watching a movie} become extremely frustrating when you can’t recall what you’re read or just saw.
Shopping and going to appointments and errands can also be very difficult. I’ve witnessed a member of our family getting confused and agitated … asking the same question over and over… and the health care worker or clerk getting irritated and snippy. They The same thing has happened at restaurants. Sometimes the waitress is incredibly kind and gracious, and other times– not so much.
I’ve often wished I could explain without embarrassing my family member. So I created a little card to hand out on these situations. It’s discreet, about the size of business card.

I created these little cards using images of Forget-Me-Not flowers. These little blooms are often used as a symbol for Alzheimer’s Disease awareness. They are also a symbol of faithfulness and love that endures. The printable sheet includes both a male and female version.
