Paper Succulent Wreath
Add some spring to your {door} step with this Paper Succulent Wreath.
Supplies: SEI Paper Wreath Kit, hot glue. All materials available at Ben Franklin Crafts and Frames in Redmond.
Directions: Following package instructions, assemble flower by layering 2-8 petals together and securing to foam base with pin. Add hot glue to keep your “flowers” permanent.
Mini Terrarium Necklaces
Create a cute Mini Terrarium Necklace to show your spring spirit!
Supplies: Mini Glass Containers by Craft Medley, Reindeer Moss, small paper flowers, small ladybug, gnome and mushroom figurines, colored seed bead chains and jewelry screw. All materials available at Ben Franklin Crafts and Frames in Redmond.
Directions
1. Add moss to container. Tip: Use a paintbrush handle to push it down.
2. Add paper flower and/or figurines. Tip: Use tweezers to put them in place.
3. Twist the jewelry screw into the cork and string seed bead chain through.
DIY Gnome Garden
Gnomes are HOT this spring! You can make a fun Gnome Garden in “gnome” time.
Supplies: One large terra cotta pot base, one small terra cotta pot base, five small terra cotta pots, a gnome, a “mushroom” house, four succulent plants, faux rocks, dirt and hot glue. All materials available at Ben Franklin Crafts and Frames in Redmond.
Directions:
1. Glue the smaller flower pot base to the larger flower pot base.
2. Glue a flower pot on top of that base and then glue the mushroom house on top of the flower pot.
3. Using the photo as a guide, glue a small flower pot near the mushroom house and then glue another small flower pot on top of it.
4. Glue on more flower pot in the “middle” and then add dirt and faux rocks.
5. Add dirt and succulents to the pots.
6. Glue the gnome down.
7. Tip the final flower pot forward, using dirt and faux rocks to keep it in place.
Spring Flower Pots
Bring spring INSIDE with these colorful {faux} Spring Flower Pots.
Supplies: Three terra cotta flower pots, moss on a spool, package of wood slices, vinyl words from Decorating Your Life, Mod Podge, yellow craft paint, hot glue, faux flowers. All materials available at Ben Franklin Crafts and Frames in Redmond.
Directions
1. Paint one side of three wood slices with Mod Podge {let it dry between coats}.
2. Paint over the Mod Podge with acrylic paint.
3. Following package directions, add vinyl words.
4. Cut pieces of moss ribbon to fit around pots and secure with hot glue.
5. Use hot glue to add wood slices to pots.
6. Add faux {or real} flowers.
Succulents in a Glass
A simple {and simply charming} gift idea!
Supplies: Glass goblet, dirt, succulent plants, a metal banner, gnome and sign. All materials available at Ben Franklin Crafts and Frames in Redmond.
Directions: Fill the glass with dirt. Add succulents then place the banner, gnome and sign on top.
Fairy Garden
Do you believe in fairies? You might when you see this darling Fairy Garden!
Supplies: Large cloches, fairy figurine, assorted garden figurines, faux succulents and hot glue. All materials available at Ben Franklin Crafts and Frames in Redmond.
Directions
1. Glue fairy to base of cloche.
2. Add assorted garden figurines and faux succulents {using hot glue}.
Garden Stone Mushroom
This fun Garden Stone will jazz up your garden.
Supplies: Milestones Premium Stepping Stone Mix, cardboard mushroom, Americana Acrylic Paint in Raw Sienna, Santa Red and Snow, painter’s tape or masking tape and a spouncer (round brush to make the dots). You’ll also need a craft knife or X-Acto Knife. All materials available at Ben Franklin Crafts and Frames in Redmond.
Directions:
1. Using the craft knife or X-Acto knife, cut the top off the cardboard mushroom.
2. Following package directions, mix up the cement and pour it in the mushroom “mold.” Let it sit for 24-48 hours.
3. Tape off the bottom and top of the mushroom.
4. Paint the top red.
5. After red paint is dry, retape the bottom and paint it brown.
6. Using the spouncer, create polka dots on the mushroom.
7. Spray with a sealant.
Succulent Necklace
This little Succulent Necklace will bring a smile to everyone who sees it!
Supplies: small wood flower pot, Americana Acrylic Paint in Neutral Gray, seed bead necklace, faux succulents (you snip off the little plants), hot glue. All materials available at Ben Franklin Crafts and Frames in Redmond.
Directions
1.Paint the pot.
2. Using hot glue add the chain to the pot {see photo}.
3. Snip off a little succulent.
4. Add a dot of hot glue inside the pot and place succulent inside.
Let Love Grow Art
Even if it rains this spring, this Let Love Grow Art will brighten your day.
Supplies: Wooden Frame, Americana Acrylic Paint in Bahama Blue, masking tape or painter’s tape, “Let Love Grow” vinyl from Decorating Your Life, and pink card stock. All materials available at Ben Franklin Crafts and Frames in Redmond.
Directons
1. Use masking tape to tape off part of the frame.
2. Paint the taped off area.
3. Cut a piece of card stock to fit inside the frame.
4. Following package instructions, adhere the vinyl to the glass.
